THE STORY
OF SSD
"Star Stable Dressage" was founded by April Purplenight who has goals to unite the Dressage Community and offer a space where everyone could learn the ways of the arena and enter professional competitions together. Before SSD, the community was rather divided and it was hard to gain knowledge to participate - the goal of SSD was to change that and unify everyone while giving all individuals equal chance to grow their understanding of riding dressage.

Heyy! I'm Vanu, a Finnish dressage enthusiast and a SSD staff member since 2019. Nowadays I oversee the whole community and staff of SSD, with my special focus on competitions. I fell in love with SSO dressage for the creativity and passion for teamwork and choreographies, I've been judging since the start and love the international aspect of the community. Outside of pixel ponies, I'm a communications student with a passion for gaming, crocheting and long walks in nature. I love yapping so you can reach out anytime if you need anything! <3

Hey there! I'm Loggy, a SSD Manager currently overseeing all things competition related within SSD. It has been amazing to watch the community grow and see how dressage has evolved over the past years. I have been playing SSO since 2018 and am situated on Spring Star, WE1. Ever since I discovered dressage, I have loved every aspect of it - from riding competitively to choreographing and instructing routines, hosting competitions and judging! IRL I am from South Africa, currently figuring out what to next, however, I am passionate about the healthcare field. When I have spare time, you'll catch me sleeping, listening to music or playing with Cotton, our golden retriever bean! Feel free to reach out if you need anything

Hi! I'm Rose and I am one of the SSD Arena Leaders or Managers overseeing things our Registered Clubs and Teams program. I have been apart of the Star Stable Dressage community for several years now and it has been so wonderful to see how the community has grown throughout the years. You can find me on the North America region, typically on Stormy Pear, hosting events and lessons with my club. Outside of Star Stable, I have a huge passion for life on our planet and I am currently working in the field of Zoology focusing on Marine Biology and Conservation, working to help our environment and those that live within it! Hi, I'm Steph !! I'm from Greece and I started playing this game around November 2014 and got into the dressage community around March 2020. I really enjoy being in this community and i feel super honored to be able and meet so many different people and have the opportunity to contribute into hosting fun dressy competitions. Heyy! I’m Ash, part of the Competition Management team within SSD. Although I haven’t been involved in the dressage community for very long, joining the SSD staff team really opened up a lot of opportunities for me. Since then, I’ve become much more active and love being a part of the community. SSO as a whole has been a huge part of my life growing up, and I’m so happy to see the community expanding day by day.
I mainly play on UK servers, however, outside of SSO, I’m from Poland and currently studying veterinary medicine. My studies give me the chance to work with a wide range of animals - from helping small puppies to handling cows and other farm animals. It’s always a unique experience! Always up for a chat, so don't be afraid to say hi :D

Hello! My name is Sara, I'm 21 and from Australia. I've been apart of the SSO community for nearly 10 years now, mainly on the AU/NZ region and only recently moving to NA servers. I'm known as Sara Waterrider on AU and Freja Nightwolf on NA. IRL I am a massive business fanatic and am almost through my second business degree with hopes to continue on towards my PhD early next year, and move overseas to work in International Relations. I'm someone who is always on the move and out doing something but I absolutely adore sitting down and reading; my nose is always in a fantasy or romance book whenever I can!

Heyo I'm Kris and I'm a part of the competition and instructor management! I got acquainted with sso dressage in 2016 and ever since then, I've been totally hooked. On SSO you'll find me on the EE & UK servers, most likely doing dressage in the riding arena. I love the creativity and passion that goes into our little dressage hobby - from lessons to the routines, I'm here for it all.
Irl, I'm currently on my way to a master's degree in Social Pedagogy. I have a variety of different hobbies which I do on rotation. I'm always up for a chat so feel free to reach out and say hi!

Hey! I’m Michi, one of the dressage and creative leads in SSD. I oversee instructors with Kris and Nici and manage TikTok and Instagram alongside hännsn. It’s been amazing watching the community grow and dressage evolve. I’ve played SSO since late 2019, mainly on German servers as Michelle 𝗉𝗎𝗋𝗉𝗅𝖾𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗀, but also on UK and NA. I fell in love with SSD in 2021, the global community and friendships made it special.

Hi I'm Nici, one of the dressage leads at SSD! I oversee our instructors together with Kris and Michi & the dictionary team together with overseeing the dictionary here on the website. I mainly play on the german region on DE-18 Rainbow Galaxy but you can also find me on the UK region as Alyssa Applebrooke. I've been stuck on Jorvik since 2015 and haven't found out yet - wonder when that will happen. Outside of managing pixel horses I study law in germany, which is probably why I'm studying 24/7. Otherwise i love spending time with my dog Daisy or just with loved ones <3

Hi! I’m Hännsn, one of the creative leads. I mainly focus on our Instagram page, as well as overseeing and structuring the task boards of our media team members. I'm on the German server, Strawberry Kingdom! My passion for SSD started back in 2020 when lockdown boredom kicked in – haha! In real life, I love doing creative things like crocheting and playing the piano, and I also take care of a pony. Byeee !! <3

Hi! I'm Ems, the newest addition to the Creative Leads! My main focus is youtube. However, I do video editing, photo editing and honestly anything that needs a helping hand within the media team. I started playing SSO in late 2017 with multiple breaks. I got into star stable dressage sometime during 2018 and since then loved every second of it! You can find me on EE1 Pancake Mountain & UK1 Cupcake Valley. I am from the Czech Republic, currently studying law and social studies aiming to be a clinical psychologist. I love music, art and playing games with my friends. I also own my wholesome golden retriever puppy - Bella!!

Hey hey - I'm Fili and a part of the community management, overseeing mods, community and newsletter team! I’ve been playing SSO since 2012 on german servers and was actively involved in dressage between 2016 and 2024. In 2020, I became very active in the scene, which led to me joining the SSD staff in 2021. Unfortunately, my schedule no longer allows me to be actively involved in dressage these days. However, I’m delighted to support the dressage community in my role as "Community Lead".

Hi! I’m Sky, I’m one of the managers who oversees the community & moderator teams. I’ve been playing Star Stable since 2019, and have been around dressage since around there as well. I don’t participate in competitions anymore as my schedule has been too compacted, however I do command my club’s little dressage team :) You can find me all around the North American region, typically night star!
